Sedna

Have you ever just felt like not working today? Well, Sedna can certainly understand that; why come to think of it, I don't believe she did much work yesterday, either.

When she was a cub, her wails and complaining near drove her parents to distraction. Demands and pickiness sent them scurrying this way and that, trying their best to please their picky daughter. Even with all the bounty of Fern Leaf Forest and its rocky shores, there was little that the cub found that could please her, and she grew up smaller than many. Frequently being hungry led her to regular naps, and she found that there really wasn't anything nearly so agreeable as a nice little snooze in the sunshine. To this day, she is very fond of loudly proclaiming to al the benefits of a good mid-afternoon snooze.

As she grew older and more responsibilities descended upon her, Sedna found herself put off by the various chores and duties that were part of life among her family and neighbors. Despite growing protests from her friends and relatives, Sedna would find any and all reasons to be elsewhere when helping paws were needed, or else claim illness on the part of her sensitive stomach. This did eventually lead to more serious warnings: loafing about and refusal to help the community are seen as grave matters on the Isles, and Sedna was no fool. Each time there began to be talk of whether she was a 'good fit' for the community, she would suddenly be in the thick of everyone's business, eager to be seen helping out and quick to highlight her many recent contributions. Of course, this never stuck for long, but so far it has been enough to keep the neighbors content without putting too much of a strain on Sedna's busy schedule of napping, snoozing, and catching a few winks.

While all of these antics have not necessarily endeared her to her fellow Fern Leaf residents, Sedna has found through it all a certain knack for taking charge of a situation, which certainly has come in handy on occasions where she's been able to 'manage' others in seeing to her tasks. And if folks grumble sometimes at her foisting her work off on others, well, Sedna can point out that plenty have come back to her, looking for further guidance. It's hardly her fault if she's just so good at telling folks what to do!

Whether this penchant will lead her to further trouble, or allow her to continue her ways remains to be seen. So long as it doesn't interrupt her latest nap, Sedna will put off the consequences until another day.
